The purpose of this project was to design a farm cart that puts pleasure back into harvesting crops by alleviating the weight of the produce, making it easy to transport and manuever throughout the farm. The cart is lightweight, intuitive to assemble, durable, weather resistant, and made of raw materials that comply with organic certification standards. The foldable wooden slats that rest over the canvas bags provide a flat surface that can be used for setting tools, containers for collecting smaller produce, or act as a lid to keep rain or excess sunlight off of the freshly picked produce. The attractive aesthetics also makes the cart great for displaying produce at the farmers market.
The cart can be flat-packed and easily assembled simply by lining up the matching colored ends and pushing a snug-fitting dowel between the concentric holes.

User Interaction
The harvest cart is also designed to hold standard 18 gallon and 10 gallon rubbermaid bins, which most small-scale farmers use already.
